Celebrating 33 years in Business!
This month we celebrate a huge milestone – successfully trading for 33 years.
ACEDA was founded in September 1991 by Managing Director – Nick Harker. Over the years, we have evolved to become a leading provider of Network Infrastructure Solutions, Security Systems, Electrical & Instrumentation Services and Smart Building Technologies.
We recognise that our greatest strength is our employees and the people who successfully deliver projects on a day-to-day basis. Many of our staff members have been with the business for over 20 years which is a noteworthy achievement and a testament to the effective working environment we have created.
Throughout the years, as all businesses do, we have experienced difficulties and challenges, however we have focused on working together as a team to maintain business operations. This year, we were delighted to receive nominations for various business and sector specific awards.
We pride ourselves on delivering high quality solutions, safely and continue to retain a number of ISO accreditations, including Quality ISO9001, Health & Safety OHSAS45001 and Environmental ISO14001. Other industry recognised accreditations include NSI Gold, NICEIC, Safe Contractor and Constructionline Gold.
Over the past 33 years, we have established relationships with many long-term clients from a variety of sectors, including, Utilities, Retail, Higher Education and Health. These include Northumbrian Water, British Land, Teesside University, Tees, Esk & Wear Valley, Northumbria University, Durham County Council and CNTW.
In more recent years, we have assessed and improved our economic, social and environmental impact and the way we operate as a business. Some examples include, producing a carbon reduction plan which set out targets to become NetZero by 2050, working as a team to raise vital funds for our chosen charity of the year (ANDYSMANCLUB), providing sponsorship and support to junior sports teams. Additionally, we continue to invest in the next generation by providing apprenticeship opportunities across our various disciplines.
We have invested in key areas of the business to pave the way for future opportunities. We are committed to maintaining our high standards and providing high quality solutions from design to delivery.
