Works underway at Durham County Councils Aykley Heads project
Aykley Heads is a state-of-the-art development which is set to be the catalyst for the Durham City Innovation District. With involvement from Durham County Council and Durham University, the aim is to create a ‘triple helix’ approach, providing businesses with access to resources, networks and high-quality infrastructure. Plot C is located in the north of the Aykley Heads site and will compromise of a 3 storey, 38,000 square foot office development.
As part of our scope of works, we will be providing an advanced data networking solution which compromises of fibre optic cabling, over 800 Category 6A network cabling points and ancillary equipment. The new data network will provide a future proofed platform for the Council’s current and future connectivity requirements and support various high-tech end devices.

The Aykley Heads site is located in a unique rural setting with views of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a short walking distance from the city centre with accessible public transport links. The development aims to deliver high quality office space and an innovation ecosystem.
