This week is Mental Health Awareness Week (9th – 15th May 2022). The official theme this year is loneliness. Loneliness is affecting more and more of us in the UK and has had a huge impact on our physical and mental health during the pandemic.

We would like to take this opportunity to encourage our employees to build meaningful connections with friends, family, colleagues and the wider community. This could include, reaching out to others and asking how they are, taking some time out with loved ones and actively engaging with people in the community.

Our connection to other people and our community is fundamental to protecting our mental health and we need to find better ways of tackling the epidemic of loneliness.

In order to help others, we must look after our own mental health and wellbeing.  There are a number of things we can do to help improve our mental health, the link below from The Mental Health Foundation provides ten useful tips on how to look after your mental health:
