NQA Audit Success

NQA Audit Success 3424

We are delighted to report that ACEDA have successfully maintained its NQA accreditation.

Following a five day audit by National Quality Assurance (NQA), ACEDA has successfully transitioned all Health & Safety systems and procedures from OHSAS 18001 to ISO 45001:2018 and recertified our Environmental ISO14001:2015 and Quality ISO 9001:2015 systems.

ISO 45001:2018 is a new international standard that provides a framework, regardless of size, activity and geographical location, to manage and continuously improve Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) within an organisation. By adopting a systematic approach including worker participation, ACEDA can integrate OH&S within its business processes which will contribute to the prevention of accidents and long and short term ill health effects. The standard provides a platform to develop a positive safety culture leading to worker wellbeing. The new standard now aligns all of our HSEQ management policies and procedures in accordance with the latest industry recognised ISO standards and requirements.

The five day, COVID safe audit involved assessing various areas of the business including live projects, systems and procedures and how these are implemented across the business. Quality Manager, Sue Pearce said, “As part of our migration from ISO 18001 to ISO 45001:2018, we were required to complete an in-depth gap analysis to ensure our policies and procedures were aligned with the new requirements. At the same time, we successfully recertified our Quality and Environmental Management systems. As a business, we are committed to ensuring all employees work within our HSEQ management system framework and operate to a high standard at all times.”

We successfully completed the audit with no non-conformances and will continue to ensure best practices are maintained at all times.
