ACEDA successfully achieve the OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 Accreditations

ACEDA successfully achieve the OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 Accreditations 737

After months of policy development, employee consultation, training and external auditing, ACEDA have successfully obtained the OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 Management Standard, in addition to ISO9001 which ACEDA have held for a number of years.

OHSAS18001 is an internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety. It provides a framework for effective health & safety management in the workplace that complies with relevant legislation and aims to effectively identify and reduce hazards and risk.

ISO14001 is an internationally recognised standard for environmental management systems that requires an organisation to have systems in place that commit to the prevention of pollution, compliance with legislation and continual improvement.

Prior to becoming accredited, ACEDA already had extensive HSEQ management systems in place and identified the benefit of aligning these systems with internationally recognised standards, including ISO9001, OHSAS18001 and ISO14001 and subsequently achieved external verification from National Quality Assurance (NQA).

Energy & Process Divisional Director, Paul Warnes said, “Health, Safety and Environmental matters are of extreme importance to all employees at ACEDA, becoming accredited by an external body demonstrates our past, present and future commitment to the management systems we have implemented across the company. Our HSEQ management system is aligned to our business procedures which are used on a day to day basis. ACEDA will continue to develop and implement the systems further over the coming months via a continuous improvement culture.”
