Teesside University Contract
The University of Teesside is a dynamic modern university in an enterprising and innovative region. It is one of the top ten modern universities for graduate prospects and thrives on over 75 years of innovation in education. After an official procurement process, Aceda were awarded the Telecommunications and Cabling contract in 2008. The duration of the contract is 3 years and involves the supply and installation of outlets, cabinets and related services. Aceda were also awarded the contract in 2002 and 2005.
Newcastle City Library
Newcastle City Library was completely rebuilt as part of a Ł40.2m Private Finance Initiative scheme. The old building was closed in September 2006 and later demolished. Aceda were appointed to provide a complete IT infrastructure to support various library applications, which included, Network Switches, Wireless LAN, VoIP Telephony, UPS and a Structured Cabling System.
Piccadilly Gate (Formerly Rail House)
The former Rail House building in Manchester has undergone extensive redevelopment. The building has been completely stripped backed to make way for a 125,000 sq ft office development called Piccadilly Gate. Aceda have provided an IP infrastructure, which includes, Network Cabling and Audio Visual packages.
Newcastle BSF – Kenton School
Kenton School was re-built as part of Newcastle’s Ł180m Building Schools for the Future programme – the biggest ever investment in schools in the history of the city. Aceda were appointed as a sub-contractor, responsible for the design, installation and support of the complete ICT infrastructure, which included; A Structured Cabling System, 3com Network Switches, a 3com Wireless LAN systems and Mitel VoIP Telephony.
N Power, Rainton Bridge
Aceda are currently undertaking the structured cabling installation at the new, prestigious N Power office at Rainton Bridge, near Sunderland. The installation involved over 13,000 CAT6 outlets.
North Yorkshire Police Contract
After a tender process, Aceda were awarded a contract with the North Yorkshire Police Authority (NYPA). The exclusive contract involves the supply and installation of computer cabling, telephone and data transmission services. The contract runs from January 2010 until January 2013 and covers eight districts.
St Stephens Retail Centre Goes Live
Aceda have completed the contract to provide IP Access Control, IP Security Patrol Tracking, Category 5e Cabling, Footfall Monitoring, Networking Switches, VoIP Telephony, iTRACS cable management system, Servers, PC’s, Firewall and a UPS system into the new St Stephens Retail Centre in Hull.
